Logging Out, Exiting an Assessment

  • Click the Logout button to sign out.
  • Do this when you are completely finished or if you need to login again later.

Important! You will always click Log Out to leave the assessment.

Closing the Window/Tab or putting the App in the background does not guarantee a successful exit.

Progress Window

  • Click the Progress Window Button to see your progress on the test.
  • You will be able to see ...
    • If you have saved an answer for each question
    • Which questions you have bookmarked
    • The questions where you have stored a note
  • Click on a question number to go directly to that question.

Previous and Next

This button will take you to the Next question and save your answer for the current question.
This button will take you to the Previous question and save your answer for the current question.
Speed Tip! Use the Progress Window button to quickly skip forward and backward to a specific question.

Saving an Answer

  • Important! In order to save your answers, you must click this button after answering each question.
  • Important! Do not save your answers until you are ready to move on to the next question. Saving an Answer will automatically move you to the next question.
  • Note! You do not need to save your entire test when you are finished. Each answer is saved as you click the "Save Answer" button while answering questions.

Split Screen Control

For questions with passages, the screen will be split. You can click and drag the dividing line to make the question pane larger or smaller.

Bookmark

  • You can mark an item you want to come back to later by clicking this button.
  • If the button color is green, the question is bookmarked. Clicking the button again will remove the bookmark.

Note

  • You can make a note about an item by clicking this button.
  • Click "Save" in the Note Window to store the Note.
  • If the button color is green, the question has a saved Note.
Tip! Click the Progress Window Button to see which questions have a Bookmark or have Notes.

Tools

  • You can use this tool to highlight part of a question or passage. Remove highlights by clicking Clear.
  • Exit Highlight Mode by clicking on the "Highlight" button again.
  • You can use this tool to mark answers you think are incorrect for multiple choice questions.
  • Click on the answer text to mark it.
  • Click on the answer text again to remove the mark.
  • Exit Choice Blocking Mode by clicking on the "Choice Blocker" button again.
  • You can use this tool to help you focus on one line of text at a time.
  • You can drag the tool anywhere you want.
    You can change the size of the viewer by dragging the resize icon in the bottom right corner of the viewer.
    To hide the Viewer, click the "Line Viewer" button again.
Note! Some questions will have the ruler, protractor, calculator, and reference sheet tools available at the bottom of the screen.

This will be much faster than using the Next and Previous buttons.
